Die erste Station Ihrer Exkursion ist das Alpine Naturschaumuseum auf 2.260 Metern Seehöhe: ein modernes Museum in den Hohen Tauern mit Murmeltierkino
und einer Mineralienausstellung, einer Freiluftinstallation „Salzburgs Größte – Bergreisen“, einem Lehrpfad und einem gemütlichen Restaurant.

Das Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhen-Besucherzentrum hoch über dem Pasterze-Gletscher auf 2.369 Metern Seehöhe ist das letzte Ziel und der absolute Höhepunkt Ihrer Reise. Sie haben zwei Stunden Zeit, das gesamte Gelände zu erkunden: Die Ausstellungen „Erfolgsgeschichte des Automobils & Motorradausstellung“ (Österreichischer Museumssonderpreis), die Kunstausstellung „Verliebt in die Alpen“ und „Gletscher.Leben“, „Der Berg – Frauen im Aufbruch“, das Glocknerkino, Nationalpark-Infozentrum, Kaiserstein-Panoramaweg zur Wilhelm-Swarovski-Sternwarte (10 Min.) und der Weg zum Pasterze-Gletscher, der Gamsgrubenweg mit einem grandiosen Blick auf Österreichs höchsten Berg, den Großglockner (3.798 m).

Auf der Rückfahrt hält der Bus am Schöneck, am Hohen Tor oder am Fuschsee für eine kurze Kaffeepause, zum Besuch einer Ausstellung oder einen Spaziergang zu machen.

The tour is very impressive due to the spectacular scenery and the great skill of the driver.  Our guide (Marta) was also a fount of knowledge about everything to do with the flora and the fauna.  The stopping point at the Kaiser Franz Josefs Hohe is however tacky and over developed in the extreme.  A multi storey car park in the middle of some of the best scenery in Europe and a gift shop that would have fitted better at Blackpool in the 1970s mean that you would be far better off staying in the coach park or taking an independent walk away from the Centre.  None of this should take anything away from the Tour company who  were excellent in all aspects of the day and in no way responsible for the part that let it down.

Eine schöne empfehlenswerte Tour. Wir waren in einem kleineren Bus (20 Sitze) unterwegs und hatten einen super Busfahrer und eine tolle Rangerin mit vielen Informationen zum Nationalpark auf der Großglocknerstraße. Hierfür nochmal Danke.
